Methods of intravenous administration
Bolus intravenous injection
- Administer dose over 30 seconds
Dose in adults
Usual dose
- Give 250 micrograms as a single dose, approximately 30 minutes before the start of chemotherapy
Renal or hepatic impairment
- No dosage adjustment required
Further information
- The efficacy of palonosetron in the prevention of nausea and vomiting induced by highly emetogenic chemotherapy may be enhanced by the addition of a corticosteroid administered prior to chemotherapy
