Methods of intravenous administration

Bolus intravenous injection

• Administer dose over 30 seconds

Dose in adults

Usual dose

• Give 250 micrograms as a single dose, approximately 30 minutes before the start of chemotherapy

Renal or hepatic impairment

• No dosage adjustment required

Further information

• The efficacy of palonosetron in the prevention of nausea and vomiting induced by highly emetogenic chemotherapy may be enhanced by the addition of a corticosteroid administered prior to chemotherapy
