Solivito N Intravenous Infusion for Adults

Who can administer

May be administered by registered competent doctor or nurse/midwife

Important information

  • In SHORT SUPPLY as of February 2023, use Cernevit in the meantime
  • Must be co-administered with Vitlipid N to ensure both water and fat soluble vitamins are given)
  • This combination replaces Cernevit (temporarily in short supply)
  • When co-administered with Vitlipid N, this regimen includes Vitamin K- so separate supplementation with Vitamin K is not usually necessary

    One 10ml ampoule contains
Vitamin B1 Thiamine 2.5mg
Vitamin B2 Riboflavin 3.6mg
Vitamin B3 Nicotinamide 40mg
Vitamin B6 Pyridoxine 4mg
Vitamin B5 Pantothenic acid 15mg
Vitamin B7 Biotin 60micrograms
Vitamin B9 Folic acid 0.4mg
Vitamin B12 Cyanocobalamin 5micrograms
Vitamin C Ascorbic acid 100mg

Reconstitution

  • Reconstitute with 10ml Vitlipid N adult

Infusion fluids

Sodium chloride 0.9% (ref 1)

Methods of intravenous administration

Intermittent intravenous infusion

  • Add reconstituted vial containing the Solvito/Vitlipid N solution to 100ml infusion fluid (ref 1)
  • Invert the infusion bag several times to ensure adequate mixing
  • If patient is also prescribed Additrace, this may be added to the same infusion bag (ref 1)
  • Administer over a minimum of two hours
  • Protect from light during administration

Dose in adults

Usual dose

  • Give one vial diluted as above daily
